In order to meet its statutory obligations, the Agency acquires data on the provision and financing of healthcare services. Under the Act of 27 August 2004 on publicly financed healthcare services, healthcare providers are obliged to provide AOTMiT with data upon request.
The data obtained contain information of varying degrees of detail, from financial and accounting data to very specific details corresponding to a patient’s hospitalisation (data on medicinal products, medical devices, procedures performed, staff involved). As a standard, providers share data through AOTMiT’s defined forms, which aim to achieve data uniformity.
