In order to meet its statutory obligations, the Agency acquires data on the provision and financing of healthcare services. Healthcare providers are obliged to provide AOTMiT with data upon request under the Act of 27 August 2004 on healthcare services financed from public funds.
The obtained data contain information of varying degrees of detail, from financial and accounting data to very detailed data corresponding to the patient’s hospitalisation (data on medicinal products, medical devices, performed procedures, staff involved). The standard form of data-sharing by providers are the AOTMiT’s defined form structures, which aim to achieve data uniformity.
