Recommendation of the President – Lokelma (sodium zirconium cyclosilicate)
On 7 May 2026, the President of the Agency for Health Technology Assessment and Tariff System issued recommendation No. 63/2026 on the inclusion of the medicinal product Lokelma (sodium zirconium cyclosilicate) in the reimbursement program for the following indication: Treatment of hyperkalemia in adult patients with:
- stage 3a–5 chronic kidney disease, in patients taking renin-angiotensin-aldosterone system (RAAS) inhibitors (ACEi/ARB) or in whom the use of these drugs is not possible;
- chronic heart failure, in patients taking renin-angiotensin-aldosterone system inhibitors (ACEi/ARB/ARNi) and/or mineralocorticoid receptor antagonists (MRA), or when these medications cannot be used
