In most people who develop COVID-19, symptoms resolve after a few weeks, but in some people, especially those who require hospitalization, the symptoms of the disease may be prolonged for several weeks, which is referred to as “long COVID”. In contrast, symptoms occurring after the 12th week of illness are defined as “post-COVID”.
The Agency for Health Technology Assessment and Tariff System, in collaboration with a panel of experts in primary care, pulmonology, cardiology, neurology and physiotherapy, has prepared a set of recommendations relating to monitoring the health of patients after COVID-19.
